Aidan Breslin (Dennis Quaid) and Stingray (Clifton Collins Jr.) discuss the murder cases in the police station. Breslin reflects back on the bloody teeth found in the setup scene, discovering the previous murders are a personal attack against his family.
The two detectives split apart. Breslin orders Stingray to visit his home to retrieve his youngest son, while he attempts to find his oldest son at school.

In an auditorium, Breslin is knocked out. He awakens to find his son dangling from the ceiling. Hooks are carved into his body, the pain so intense that Alex is trembling. His pale white skin bleeds out.
Breslin is frightened to see his son in a deadly situation. Alex reveals to his father that his sinister plan is to harm him like the others. We learn that all murders in the movie are isolated events. A network of vulnerable young individuals are part of a plot to make their family suffer through vicious death scenes.
Breslin's leg is attached to a theater seat. He tries to free himself. Alex shares his emotional pain, his plot, and that many more are like him. Breslin begs his son to stop. He fires his gun at his chain. Then, Breslin shoots the chains digging into Alex's flesh. Alex falls to the ground. Breslin rushes to his aid.
In the last minute of Horsemen, the young son asks his father will Alex be okay. Breslin responds that Alex will be fine.
