Gangster Squad ending update

At the midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises last Thursday, a former California native John Homes opened fire on moviegoers attending the new Batman movie screening at Century 16 movie theater in Aurora, Colorado.

In the aftermath, 12 people were killed and 58 endured gunshot injuries. Our deepest condolences go out to the victims and their families during these trying times. May you find peace, love and support in the upcoming days, weeks, months, and years.

The Dark Knight Rises movie features a Gangster Squad movie trailer that shows a shootout scene in a movie theater. Warner Bros. pulled the movie trailer in the first weekend. YouTube and Apple followed the lead to ensure this violent scene is put to rest.

Warner Bros. deserves great respect for pulling the movie trailer, waiting until the Monday after to release box office results, donating a fair share of The Dark Knight Rises proceeds and now deciding to refilm Gangster Squad ending. 

Back in April 2012, we visited Aurora and Denver, Colorado. We have family who live in Denver, a close proximity to Aurora, Colorado. After driving from Salt Lake City, U.T. that day, we arrived late Easter night in the Aurora area. We stayed at a Choice Hotels property.

In the next morning, we stayed at another a Quality Inn & Suites in Denver. I remember seeing this Aurora Town Center mall several times. It is located on right side of I-70 W. My brother told us to visit the Aurora Mall. They previously moved from Aurora to Denver. 

It is shocking to visit a city that ends up becoming the center of a terrible tragedy. Last time we drove the same route across America, we passed through New Orleans in March 2005, a few months prior to the Hurricane Katrina natural disaster.

We drove by lower class neighborhood where many families were piled in one complex. It was very sad to see these people struggle to make a living. After the hurricane hit, I thought about the families we saw several months back.  

I can tell you from firsthand experience that Aurora, Denver is a beautiful city. The surrounding Denver metropolitan area has everything you can imagine. Colorado is a nice state with awesome scenery. Grand Junction, Aspen, Denver, Boulder, and Colorado Springs are appealing cities. 

According to Belfast Telegraph newspaper (2012), the Gagster Squad movie will be pushed back to January 2013 to accommodate the film ending revision. The city of Aurora endured a major tragedy, as the shooting news traveled across the planet in a matter of hours.

I first heard about the movie theater shooting early the next morning (Easter Standard time). Your first reaction to the tragic news is that this has to be a dream. Colorado tried to move past the Columbine High School massacre that took 13 lives, injured 21, and both perpetrators committed suicide. The Aurora movie theater tragedy reintroduces the wounds left behind from the Columbine shooting 13 years ago.   

Warner Bros. acted quickly to remove the Gangster Squad trailer, held back their The Dark Knight Rises box office results, donated money to a Colorado program helping the victims, and are refilming the eerie Gangster Squad ending to remove the movie theater shooting climatic scene.

Thank you Warner Bros. for showing real class. We respect you as one of the best Hollywood movie studios.
