What is my favorite ending moment in The Dark Knight Rises movie?

The Dark Knight Rises is an intriguing movie. There are so many great moments in the movie that we can discuss them for many months. Batman fans are eager to watch the new Batman movie. We enjoyed analyzing the movie beyond dishing out the spoilers. What is my favorite ending moment in the Dark Knight Rises movie?

The best scene in The Dark Knight Rises is when Batman reveals to Commissioner Gordon his true identity through a specific moment that only these two individuals would know about. A long time ago, Bruce Wayne's parents were murdered. Detective Gordon consoled a grieving young Bruce Wayne.

In the scene, Gordon tells Batman he is a hero. He indicates that he doesn't know Batman's true identity. Batman replies back with the following movie quote, "Anyone can be a hero. Even a man who put a coat around a young boy's shoulders to let him know the world hadn't ended." Batman flies the Bat plane upward, slowly above Selina and Gordon.

In a flashback scene, Gordon is a younger detective standing next to a young boy. Essentially, Gordon put a coat on Bruce Wayne's shoulders. He told Bruce that everything would get better, so he shouldn't feel his world is about to end. Bruce Wayne had just lost his parents in a murder. He had no family to grieve with him. Bruce was all alone in the world. Gordon consoled this wounded young boy, who is obviously scared, alone and angry.

Bruce hides his anger rather well. He mentioned concealing his anger in the pit prison. Maybe Bruce has recurring overflowing toilet dreams often enough because he rarely releases his emotions. Besides confiding in Alfred and Fox, Bruce remains a secretive man.

Batman respects Gordon enough to save his son and take the blame for Harvey Dent's crimes. Mostly, Bruce Wayne looks to Gordon as a hero that helped him get through the initial shock when he had lost his parents. Bruce Wayne remained an orphan until Alfred became his legal guardian.

This movie quote and scene is powerful on many levels. A coat and a hero symbolize integrity, fate and security. Gordon inspired Bruce Wayne to possibly become Batman. Of course, the death of Bruce's parents represent an inner motivation to fight crime. Gordon served as a mentor, role model, and a father figure to a young child who needed to move past a tragic murder. In the grieving process, the initial condolences are the most important.

Batman shares the coat and hero quote because he knows that Gordon will quickly figure out Batman's identity. Batman is poetic about revealing his identity to a man that stood beside him in the darkest of moments. Gordon restored balance in Bruce Wayne's shattered world.

This Batman and Gordon scene is my favorite moment in The Dark Knight Rises. It is happy scene that rises above all the violence. Batman takes a moment out of his busy schedule to thank Gordon for leading him to his fate. Batman's fate is to save Gotham City.

Batman is a fearless soul whose ready to sacrifice his life to save Gotham City. He revealed his identity using a fond memory that has stayed with him for many years. In the heat of the moment, Gordon reflects on the distant memory to identify the young boy as Bruce Wayne.

Have you watched Touch? It is a new television show starring Kiefer Sutherland. In the first episode, a firefighter is unable to forget about a woman he attempted to save in the 9/11 Terrorist Attacks. This woman happens to be Martin's (Keifer) wife. Police officers, firefighters, medical professionals, politicians, and teachers never forget touching moments that stand out from the rest.

Commissioner Gordon remembers the night Bruce Wayne lost his parents. The movie quote connects him to the past, reflecting on Bruce Wayne as a young boy. It is too easy for Batman to say, "Gordon, I'm Bruce Wayne". It is superb writing to encode movie dialogue along with vivid imagery.

We're sure you will never forget an important moment too. If you lost a loved one (I'm sorry for your loss), then you may remember the people who consoled you. In my senior year of high school, I lost a friend who looked up to me as a role model. He was a young brother of another friend. I used to drive a cool car. I didn't hang out with these friends the last 6 months.

During my graduation day, the friend, his cousin and a friends drove on a two-way road out to a lake. They all died in a major car accident. I remember visiting his family's home to pay my respects. His family didn't know me well enough. I handed them a card specific to the tragic event. I put $20 in the card. I didn't have much money then, so I tried my best to help this friend's family and friends make it through the grieving process.

The parents asked who I was, which I responded that I was a good friend and I wanted to personally tell them I'm sorry for their loss. I told them they had a good son. I'm lucky to have had him as a friend in his last days. The father hugged me, crying and thanking me.

Gordon remembers the coat, as it is a specific reference to connect him back to Bruce's dark moment. He consoled Bruce in his time of grief. Batman tells Gordon this coat and hero quote to thank him prior to making a noble sacrifice. It is one of those Gladiator type of moments that is touching.

I'm sure James Cameron writes quite a few touching movie quotes in his Titanic movie. Christopher Nolan and James Cameron are alike in many ways. They write and direct their movies. Both of these visionary filmmakers take pride in their work. Moviegoers recognize these genius filmmakers as auteurs.

The Gordon and Batman scene is the happiest moment in a dark film. Through all the chaos, Gordon and Batman share a sentimental moment in another dark time. The coat and hero movie quote reveals Batman's identity to Gordon as Bruce Wayne. Was this coat and hero movie quote moving to you? Please share your personal experience in the comment section below.
